Remora Robotics develops autonomous cleaning robots for the aquaculture industry, technology that combines fish welfare, efficiency and data-driven insights. Since 2017, the company has had a clear ambition: safer and more sustainable operations in aquaculture. In the spring of 2025, they launched Remora Insight, a cloud-based customer portal that provides breeders with real-time insight into the bill, damage notification and integrity documentation. The platform is tightly integrated with the company's robots and gives breeders complete control, anytime and from anywhere.
Kadabra became engaged in February 2025, with a challenge: to design, lead and deliver a first version (MVP) of the customer portal.
As a partner, we had several roles, including UX-/UI design and product management, while supporting the development team in establishing more agile ways of working. The result was an MVP that was launched for Easter and the side developed further.

To deliver a first working portal in record time, we worked closely with Remora all the way. We started by clarifying goals, talking to end users and defining user needs. Then we built and prioritized the backlog to narrow in to a distinct MVP. We designed the user experience and interface in line with Remora's brand, including a new design system. Along the way, we conducted user tests and iterations to validate the functionality.

Through the work, Remora Insight received a first version that combined functionality, peace of mind and brand. The portal enables smokers to detect and document snout damage immediately, reducing escape hazards and contributing to a more sustainable farming industry.
